Hi guys, I have an intermittent problem on my Bally all star bowler. The ball doesn’t always release after a shot. The game just holds the ball, so we can’t continue play, the game just sits there. I will include a pic of the game and the small disk mechanism that holds the ball back from being released. It is not a mechanical problem with that release. It moves freely. Something is not triggering it to release the ball. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks. Brian.

Do you have the schematic that you can post?

    Schematics from a Bally 1958 Super Bowler : http://www.pinrepair.com/bowl/balstar.htm
A contact on the Ball Trough Escapement Coil circuit may be the cause of the trouble...
