    Seen elsewhere:

    Quoted from o-din:

I'm unable to use it now as it requires more pixels than before to upload an Avatar. Is there a way to modify it?

I was expecting perhaps a stupidly small photo being uploaded; but instead the source photo was 384x512. However, pinside is more demanding than that:

So I started looking at how avatars are used.

    80x80: Forum avatars.
140x140: Member summary page, such as this
    480x480: Minimum upload requirement.

I worked around this for O-din by taking his image, and simply.. doubling the pixels. Crude. Adds one more degeneration in image quality, before it gets downsized to 140x140 and 80x80.

Can we revisit the minimum avatar size requirement?

Might be good to start a thread (in the bug forum), and grab a few screen shots of the process to make it clear where it fails, how it fails, and the guilty browser (if it is a browser fail). We don't want to lump several issues into one thread, as that's too easy to lose track of the issues. It also means not using the "resolved" flag on posts (like one can do with threads).

When I see such a post, job-permitting, I'll try and replicate it and make sure there's nothing else that we can provide to Robin. I can't see server-side stuff; but I can help with triage.
