Getaway: High Speed II, The
Williams, 1992Time to move on from SYS 11 to WPC. My Getaway turns on, plays but dies and shuts off after 10 seconds. I was thinking there might be something similar to VID´s excellent SYS 11 guide for Bally/Williams WPC systems here.
Something tells me the bridge rectifiers might be the problem...
Any good guide how troubleshoot WPC anywhere ?

this worked for my Getaway / HSII :
pinwiki ... WPC resets are the most common failure, bar none.
As for the "add-in" board, that's designed to be a [i]temporary[/i] measure to be used for diagnostics.
Everyone keeps plopping these things in as if they're the holy grail for solving resets, but that's not what they're there for ... they are masking your issues.
The TRUE fix is to follow all of the pinwiki suggestions to get your system working at the top level it can work at, then install one of these :
