Quoted from vid1900:Nice, but your web designer broke the #1 rule of web design with that landing page that you have to click out of.
Don't let them spell out the company name one letter at a time in Flash either, cuz it's not 1998....
1. Not a landing page...all info is on that page. You can view & access products, get everywhere on the site there is to go.
2. Not using Flash at all.
3. Site is running on Shopify the best solution for eCommerce in the world.
Quoted from vid1900:Just trying to help you out, don't get defensive.
On my phone, it's putting me on a landing page like 20 years ago.
I'm on Oreo, and I have to literally click "Catalog" to get to anything.
No phone number, mailing address, products - nothing but an old fashioned landing.
Not being defensive...just responding to your misconceptions.
On the home page you need to keep scrolling. It is not a landing page. It is home page with everything listed -- if you keep scrolling you will see that everything is right there in one place.
No phone number listed as we do not take phone orders. No address as we do not take mail orders either.
Quoted from PopBumperPete:Congratulations for giving it a go
you only have one item for sale? or am I missing something?
you need an 'About' page. you may not want to give out your address, or take phone orders. but people need to know you are not a nigerian prince working on an oil rig.
This is just a quickie version of a site for now...yes will add an about page.

Yes only one product for now. Hope to add about one new product per month. That is the goal. But not looking to just do stuff to sell either...
Quoted from vid1900:Thus it IS a landing page.
If you go to any website and you land on a **nothing** page with just a logo or animation (and you have to take action to escape it) - that's called a landing page.
It was obnoxious back in the 90s on a desktop, it's mega-obnoxious nowadays while driving/walking.
Landing Page - always listed as #1 nubie webdesign mistake. You still want a phone number listed, so you at least **appear** to be customer responsive.
I'm sure you have heard the old chestnut "Don't order from any company that you can't find their customer support number in 10 seconds. If it's hard to find, the support will be just as hard. "
If a reporter wants to do a quickie article with a 30 minute deadline on your company/products, do you think they will fill in one of those "Contact Us" forms that no one ever responds to?
If I need it sent to a APO address because I'm serving my country, how can I inquire? Fill in one of those "Contact Us" forms that no one ever responds to?
If I'm leaving for Expo and I want to ask you to bring me two SpaceStations, how can I even know you are attending?
Get a FREE Google Voice phone number and at it will ring your phone with a different ring tone. You might get 1 call a month, but at least it looks like you are there for your customers. It's FREE.Again, no address looks like you are hiding from your customers.
I got rid of Paypal years ago; how do I send you a money order?
Am I ordering from China with maybe a 3 week delivery time, or am I ordering from Ohio, just a few days away?
Warranty? None?
Returns? None?
If you ARE hiding from a crazy ex-boyfriend or something, at least rent a mail box, or use a local business' address that you are friends with.

I know you will deflect on each and every above point, defending your "We made it like that on purpose" stance, but sit back and really think about it before you reply.
No contact information, no phone number, and a landing page makes the whole thing look like amateur night.
(BTW the station would look great on my game!)
We can agree to agree to disagree on the landing page thing. Landing pages are pages that force you to click through & provide no functionality at all. The home page allows you access to everything the site has.
Not sure why you keep going on an on about it being a landing page and comparing it to something from 1998.
Then you call me defensive when you started this conversation lobbing insults.
This is just a quickie version of a site just to get something up for now...it was not an attempt at making the worlds greatest pinball part webstore.

I also did this awhile back:
