live stream of announcement ... http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jguynes

#2 10 years ago

No way... Really??? Date?

#3 10 years ago

Run of 1000. Available Q2 2014.

#5 10 years ago

ya me too :/

#6 10 years ago

Does Planetary have the resources to create a full game or will they subcontract a manufacturer?

#7 10 years ago

That must be all the sub-assemblies "made" from Wayne to support the run of only 1000. Who is going to be the manufacturer? Will any of the remaining Wayne MM preorder be 1st in line for this 1000?

Good Luck to Rick for this endeavor.

updated hardware. cpu in backbox is about 5" square; driver board in cab. Gold trim and shaker standard.

#10 10 years ago

did he say that they are ONLY doing an LE or will there be a standard as well? It was hard for me to hear

#11 10 years ago

only an LE, and only exactly 1000.

#12 10 years ago

Only LE for now, but they are not ruling out more non-LE in the future.

#13 10 years ago
Quoted from pezpunk:

thanks

#14 10 years ago

Any news on CC?

Quoted from herg:

What's the difference between the two (LE and non-LE)?

#16 10 years ago
Quoted from herg:

Uh. That seems pretty stupid. What exactly would be LE about it then?

#17 10 years ago

yeah if they are going to do it, seems like limiting to 1000 only (forever) is premature.. if it sells and they make profit, why not? 1000 units just sounds like a good starting quantity to see how strong the market is

Quoted from Aurich:

Uh. That seems pretty stupid. What exactly would be LE about it then?

That would be the rub.. but, overall, it's an LE of a game that already existed.. people worrying about investments (LE-ness) shouldn't be looking at this title anymore anyway

#18 10 years ago

Sold out already! 20k by Christmas.

#19 10 years ago
Quoted from aztarac:

LE has shaker, gold trim. And they may never make a non-LE.

Christmas in October!

I don't know how I feel that the biggest news of expo is the re-release of a game from the 90s.

#22 10 years ago
Quoted from aztarac:

He did not say there "would be" a non-LE. He said they would not rule it out.

Quoted from Aurich:

Uh. That seems pretty stupid. What exactly would be LE about it then?

Purely speculative. I'm just reporting what I heard.

#24 10 years ago

Rick said there might be a possibility of other titles in the future, but didn't confirm any.

#25 10 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

Gross, really?

regular trim available at no upcharge.

#26 10 years ago

Hobbit or MM hmmmm?

1st world problems

#27 10 years ago

If the LE is all that they are making....how is that not the "standard" version?

Is it just because LE sounds cooler?

JJP and Stern sales just got kicked in the dick

Sadly the biggest hit will be to Stern : (

biggest news yet. anything else better be amazing!

#31 10 years ago

I thought I just heard 400+ heads explode, now I know why.

#32 10 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

Gross, really?

The value of originals just went up!

#33 10 years ago

I e-mailed Jack, he replied "You're on the list" emailed again to ask if I would be sent an invoice for a deposit, reply again "You're on the list". I'm assuming 'on the list' means for the run, not a backup...

#34 10 years ago

There's only so many $8k games you can buy in a year..

#35 10 years ago
Quoted from pmWolf:

Is it just because LE sounds cooler?

Because it is Limited to 1000 games in Gold Trim and Shaker included.

yeah you're right, at least JJP can hedge with his distributorship. That's pretty f'n' smart if you ask me

#37 10 years ago
Quoted from herbertbsharp:

JJP is the distributor for these MM remakes.

Will this MM have "Williams" on it?

#39 10 years ago

Is this one of those deals where it will actually be $7,995? Or is that just MSRP?

#40 10 years ago
Quoted from Kiwipinhead:

Will this MM have "Williams" on it?

no

#41 10 years ago
Quoted from Kiwipinhead:

Will this MM have "Williams" on it?

No. They explicitly said it wouldn't.

#42 10 years ago

It looks like it will actually be $7995 (as of now) based on the pre-order page on Jack's website:

Are they calling the new version Midevil?

#45 10 years ago
Quoted from TaylorVA:

Are they calling the new version Midevil?

I am thinking it was a quick spelling error by whoever added it to the website.
