I hope someone has a set. I've never seen any Jackbot plastics for sale in 10 years, other than the slingshots. Jackbot is a great underrated game. Mine is never leaving.

I would pull the set off my game after league plays here in 3 weeks but my plastic to the right of the ramp is trashed badly.

Do they have to be new? As I just got a jackbot and from what I can see just 1 cracked plastic

I wish I could help you get a complete set of plastics but sadly every single plastic in my Jack*bot is either cracked or broken off somewhere.

Me too I'm in 100% - Hope Outsidege will be ok with all the samples. I discovered this pin just one year ago and is fantastic, addictive gameplay rules, I'm getting one in few days but with the usual casino run plastic badly cracked and another couple in bad shape.

Is this metal attachment point at the bottom of the mini pf going to be on the new mini pf? I just took off my mini pf to replace one of the mini posts and clean the whole thing up and found that ALL the mini posts are glued on then screwed on from the underside. Is the new mini pf going to be the same way?

Good ask! The plastic under the visor lid but above the eye locks and the long plastic by the game saucer along side the ramp are typically broken.

I often saw the big one long blue plastic on the left of casino run, being cracked on some JP pinballs I saw. I heard this was because the nuts holding this were overtightened, could be? Mine is really bad cracked and it's the only one that is broken.
Anyway, I really appreciate what you do for pinball community, thanks again, a complete JB set was really impossible to find...

The left ramp sign is frequently chipped and cracked.... and the plastic under the visor (as someone else noted)

Would clear plastic protectors make sense on this game? Especially for the slings.

I bought a set of Pin Bot plastic protectors and modified them where necessary to fit my Jack Bot. It wasn't too bad of a job, and now I have a set of plastic protectors to protect all vulnerable plastics. This is not a bad option for those buying plastics that are concerned about ball strikes damaging them (which is a valid concern).

I remember modifying the sling plastics quite a bit by first sawing off the inlane extensions and then polishing the edges. I also remember modifying a couple others, but from what I remember, the sling plastics required the most work. I couldn't find any plastic protectors for Jack Bot at all when I bought mine 3 years or so ago, and my plastics were in decent shape, so I needed some protectors and figured this was my best bet. I can't believe nobody has made jack Bot specific plastic protectors by now. It's a great game.

This is impossible, or at best, not advised. The bracket needs to have the rivets drilled and replaced (which is fine, and very doable), but the red posts....

Those stupid f'ks at Williams GLUED THEM IN. Like they put glue around the base and then screwed them in as well. Just buy new ones, and new screws. You'll thank me later. Half of them *will* break when you to get enough torque on them to break the glue. The plastic is like 22 years old...it's too brittle to effectively remove them unless you have a magic mini-pf that somehow didn't get the posts glued. Even then I'd still recommend replacement over re-use. They're pretty cheap little things and if you're going to the trouble to replace that thing you might as well make it look awesome as well.

Thanks for the link, sounds like an easy job. Well they only sold 2500 games so they probably figured the demand wasn't there.

If memory serves correctly... JackBot was only made because of an issue with another game (a license was lost?). And they quickly "re-themed" Pinbot and got it on the line. So that 2,500 probably was driven by what Williams felt they needed to cover.

Yeah, that's my guess. I am super happy new plastics are being made, as I never thought that would happen. Although most of mine are complete, there are a lot of scratches through the screen print on the backside, which is annoying on an otherwise nice machine.

Isn't a "true color" plastic protector simply just transparent? I get what's trying to be done here, but most people just clown-puke Pinbot and Jackbot anyways. I was definitely guilty of the 'matched sides' GI on Pinbot. By the time I got Jackbot I realized that it looked terrible. These are visual mods first and most, and the protection is an auxilliary benefit unless you're going to offer them in places that actually need protection. It's a pretty far stretch to claim that slings and inlane guides are the only ones that need it on this game.

There's like four or five other vulnerable plastics on JB that actually need to be protected not just from breakage, but from ball wear from ejects, particularly on the sample games where it's NOT a scoop and the ball can rub against the top of the plastic when it gets kicked out of the saucers. It sucks, because at one point I had outlines on grid paper that I'd traced of the plastic, along with suggested extended edges for ball protection at points of breakage....but everyone I talked to wanted me to provide vector files, and I had no clue at the time how to go about doing that. I'm pretty sure I tossed the papers after giving up on trying to get people to make a full set of protectors, not just some half-assed thing.

This game, more than most, really does *need* a FULL set of protectors.
