Ok, some of you creative types must have some ideas for modding a STLE.
What have you done, what are you planning to do or what would you like someone to do?

I only had one thought thus far for mine and that's changing the 89's Super bright whites with some colour red and blue. The vengeance ship looks great but could be modded later with lights that make it glow, same with the asteroids. It's so damn beautiful already.
Think we need to have an add on food processor, so we can order munchies without leaving the game,,,,,hmmm wonder what the wife's doing.
Going to put one of those Hot Wheels brand Klingon bird of prey ship on the playfield somewhere, with a LED light accent somehow. Plus, would love to get some of those cool side art decals some pinsider made for the pro versions.
I would like to see the Klingon ship and maybe the Kelvin somewhere. Even thinking about removing the asteroid on the left ramp to make room (hoping that the asteroids look better in person than in the pictures)
Would also like to see some sort of phaser mod from the Enterprise to the Vengence, maybe triggered when the Fire button is pressed.

Done. Mine Bird of Prey is LED'd out and ready for placement. Radio Shack has pre-made ones for three bucks. Also have the kelvin as well.
Working on motor testing for the asteroid. Should have a proto by the time its here and set up. Prisim for laser enroute. Will see how that looks.
I bought 2 hallmarks a kelvin ans a 2010 enterprise to replace the stock basic enterprise. I also have an oled display mod I'm working on that will display screens of the control panels of the ship
Oh; nearly forgot.
Blue DMD if you consider that a mod.
My buddy told me he was getting one for his and I think he made a sweet choice.

that is something i'd like to do.
right all i did is the klingon bird of prey and changed some leds.

Yes, I do. I'm probably going to use a ColorDMD display for potential future upgradability.

More info about the oled screen mod please. Would it work on a Pro? Is it something like the oled screen mod for the Tron?
First mod tinted glass or sunglasses, that sucker will burn some retinas.
What about blue el wire on ramps hooked to flashers?
I got the hot wheels ships initially and they are really cheap looking, so then I got the hallmark ones and are much nicer and detailed, I would recommend those to anyone doing ships and plus they are already led wired.
Which model Hallmark ships did you buy if you don't mind me asking. Are there any specific to the new Star Trek films?
Dangit I already ordered the Hot Wheels Klingon bird of Prey ship from eBay. Didn't know you fellas were going to make the mods or I would have definitely held off and bought one from my fellow pinsiders.
I'm not a BIG fan of the new Bird of Prey design, but I wanted one that would match the theme of the newest movies in the pin since that is what the pin is based after. I think the older Klingon Bird of Prey ship is the coolest spaceship ever designed for the movies. My daugther got me the big Bird of Prey ship that is 16 inches long and has LED lights in it, so I think that's going to be my topper. But, some pinsider made a real cool topper as well.
Would love to see some pics of the Bird of Prey ship mounted inside the game, along with any other mods you guys (or gals) are making for the pin.
You can buy:
USS Enterprise
USS Kelvin
Klingon Battle Cruiser
All related to the new movies.
Some people don't want the enterprise since almost all of them were made crooked, but it's super easy to straighten out with some light heat.
The Kelvin can also be had in an SDCC limited version where it's all battle worn.
I bet the hot wheels ones would look way better with a refinery paint job to make them look better and comparable to the hallmark ones.
Space sharks in little white "Saturday Night Fever" suits with frickin' lasers on their frickin' heads. Is that too much to ask?
Dangit Tat, I wish I would have known because I would have hooked ya up on the Bird of Prey. Is it pretty detailed (hopefully), because I really would like to see it in the pin somewhere.
Quoted from magnoliarichj:Where is the battle cruiser reference in the movie?
Never saw the battlecruiser in the movie (and I just recently re-watched it) but I love that ship as well. They had a brief glimpse of it in the first movie when Kirk was doing that test.
Ya you're right I don't remember that one from the movie, so I guess the bird of prey would be the one to get
Quoted from Chambahz:I'm going to put sandpaper on the warp ramp to slow that f---er down!
LMAO!
Quoted from magnoliarichj:Just got this when I got home. It's sized better and looks 10000000000xs better than the one in the machine.

Dang those are expensive! I'm used to getting the $15 variety for STTNG.

What is this? Where available? Looks great!
Quoted from BillP:As soon as Hemi weighs in with his great idea, I'll agree with that one!!
Teaser, the camera can not show the true effects....

I agree. And the enterprise looks pretty good too!

Yep, it's exactly the right size/scale v. the Vengeance. I got one to mount on my Pro. I bought mine from:
http://www.hookedonhallmark.com/2010-USS-Enterprise--Magic-_p_31968.html
$44.95. They had a free shipping offer code when I ordered.

that Gillette ship looks pretty cutting edge!

Thanks that's my next mod. I found out that they changed the Dmd mounting style I might just use it on myself lol

Thanks for the link.
You also can get 15% off for Black Friday. Got mine for $38 + $1 insurance/tracking.
I mentioned this in another post, but I think I want to mod the warp ramp Chevron to be a backlit insignia just like the ones on the playfield. Sort of bugs me that it isn't.
Quoted from magnoliarichj:It will make the tron mod look lame
Put me on the list first!
