Please do not look at this as a hate thread.

I thought I read a few posts last night in a somewhat unrelated thread (Allentown show thread maybe?) that a home use WoZ had a electro-mechanical hardware issue. I can't seem to find it this morning and did not mark the thread. Could be the alcohol though; maybe there was no posting.

Just wondering as I figured we would hear about some issues by now.

The rate they are trickling out I don't think you will get any good feedback for a month or so.

Thanks for the response PT.

I was wondering if anyone else saw a couple of WoZ posts in a possibly unrelated thread that had a problem? I recall that it was confirmed it was not a code issue so possibly a wire broken or switch/switch matrix problem.

Those who repair pins will want to know about how they work as soon as possible since the service seminars have not been held yet and manuals are not out in the public domain today.

From what I saw a few weeks ago, the *quality* of the game surpasses anything that Stern has on the market and probably ever will.

I'm a Bally/WMS snob, but, I have to give credit where credit is due when it comes to the manufacturing of this game.

I was able to see the inside of the machine as it was being set up for the show and everything I saw was top notch.

Yeah something is getting worked out, that's why no one has posted a video I assume

12 WOZ shipped = no video

1 Metallica shipped = 12 videos

The WOZ that shipped seem more like a batch of test machines (vs prototypes).

You know what they say about assuming...right?

There are 3 setup at Allentown, the latest version seems to be holding up very well. The prototype from Jan they have to keep opening..

Folks who bought a game they never played before obviously made assumptions...

So yeah go ahead & tell me what they say about assuming

From what I hear a few local guys are close to getting their games so hopefully I find out soon enough. Same goes for Metallica, can't wait to see/play it but I'm enjoying the videos/pics meanwhile.

Well, I played the one at Playdium near Toronto yesterday and the crystal ball was on the fritz. The image was just a bunch of scan lines, so broken lcd or something. but that is a prototype from a few months ago.

Yep... When you make assumptions, you make an Ass of U and Mptions.

I was at Playdium yesterday, and again today (use up the rest of my cards credit).

Crystal ball wasn't working at all yesterday.

Was working fine today.

That right outlane is a bear!

That right outlane may end up being closed up when I get mine.

I threw mine down the basement stairs to check durability. Not even a scratch.
I then removed the playfield turned it around and used the bars as a pummel horse. You will not believe how well built this machine is.
I am also considering using my WOZ as a Tornado enclosure. I figure if one comes, I will get inside and be safe.

This is obvious plagiarism from the WOZ forum.

No more copy/paste content please.

I thought people from Wisconson were better than that

Yeah the prototype had weird reset bug on the old motherboard. We fixed it towards the end of Friday. Had older code though. The production game on the right was a champ. Played both days without a hitch running 1.04. I did have the pf up a few times for demonstrations and a few tutorials though.

I gave Koi and a few others a full rundown of the game, current rule set, maintenance info, etc. spent probably 30 mins going thru everything. Got to meet Taylor as well. Awesome guy and I hope everyone liked the games.
