Quoted from MustangPaul:What kind of art you thinkin about for that wood board or are ya gonna light it up?
not sure, i'll see as i go along.
i will light it up for sure.

Looks incredible!

You should consider scanning that cabinet when it's done and making decals available!

and don't forget the bb. But I bet "you know who" would put a stop to that REAL quick.

So is the issue that you are making graphics available? Or is the issue that you would try to sell them? If Bob were to scan them and offer them up for free (not saying that he should do that) would PP have any issue with that? I always thought it was only if you tried to profit from it that they would come after you with cease and desist orders.
I created some drop target sticker for Black Knight based on the image on the backglass. I posted those up in the BK club for free. I can't imagine that I'm going to catch any heat for something like that...

I "think" they may come down on him for that too.
i never thought of scanning the cabinet, i don't plan to.
i will take high definition pictures for people to see, that's about it.
Quoted from beatmaster:tilt panel done, nice and shinny.
How about an inlay of el wire?
Quoted from MustangPaul:How about an inlay of el wire?
don't know yet, since i don't know how everything will fit, i want to add an extra 12 volts splitter board on that panel.
but i do have something in mind.

I see. I wound up putting so many more 6.3v bulbs and strips on my Jackbot that I had to put an 8 outlet splitter board on and powered it with a 6v 2amp wall wart. The GI OCD board only has 2amp fuses in it and I kept popping a couple of them. I have a 12v AND a 6v splitter board in it now, gonna do the same with a couple older games like Space Shuttle and Space Station. It'll be interesting to see what you come up with.
37 years of dirt, took me about 2 1/2 hours to clean the wire harness for the cabinet and with new tie wraps, gotta do it if i want to try everything on the tilt panel.
not done, i will change the flipper switches, power switch (just broke on me), volume pot and maybe the line filter.
Quoted from BJM-Maxx:Did you use the dishwasher method for the harness?
no by hand, that's why it took a while.
this is where i'm at with the tilt panel.
new tilt bob assembly.
new 12 volts splitter board.
new volume pot, gonna change that knob for a red one (if i can find one that fit).
red corrugated tubing, looks cleaner.
not sure i'll change the line filter, still work.
power supply (at least 5-10 amps minimum) for the splitter board, will be on the right side of the splitter board, connected to the power line, one lead connected to the power switch, that way when i turn on the machine power supply will turn on at the same time, instead of always be ''on'' or pulling the plug every time from the wall or closing a power bar.
firepower decal above the splitter board.
new power cord, got it.
new heavy duty cabinet power switch, found.
new cabinet flipper switches, got them.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Looks super Bob.
thanks paul.
installed the new flipper leaf switch and the new cabinet power switch with an extra wire to go to the power supply (when it gets here).
The only thing that surprises me is that you haven't already polished the line filter to a mirror finish and added cool sticker with replacement writing.
That is going to be one awesome machine!

tell me about it, not sure what to do with it. buy a new one, try to clean it (won't be easy).
Quoted from beatmaster:tell me about it, not sure what to do with it.
I have reproduced all the artwork of the tech cards and decals for my Time Fantasy restore. I assume that the warning decal on the line filter is the same for Sys6 games. I can send you the pdf if you want.
got few more parts.
new leg corner/brackets (inside) and outside leg brackets.
new power supply for my tilt panel (12V/5A/60W).
new shooter housing.
silicon ring, red, orange, yellow (not sure yet which one i'll use).
playfield support, yep i'm gonna try to fit that. tired of using the slingshot brackets on the lockdown bar receiver (be careful when doing this, you need a piece of wood or rag between if the game is on), sometime we just need to pull the playfield a little.
i didn't received pictures of the airbrush for the past 2 weeks, he couldn't work on it, doing overtime and replacing somebody, doing extra hours
but i'm supposed to see something in the next few days (crossing fingers).
Quoted from HPR:Wondering, any plan to convert it for 7 digits display and drop targets ?
max, i really don't know.
The side cabinet looks awesome! I have been following this post since you started it.
Keep up the awesome work!
Does anyone know where you can find insert decals for a Firepower II? Having a hard time finding some.
Quoted from beatmaster:the ''firepower'' word in the front of the cabinet is completed.
I absolutely love how that turned out! That looks awesome!
very busy doing a lot of other things.
nothing crazy played around with a few stickers.
made one for the service buttons (yep out of focus lol), one on the tilt panel (might not be final, just trying a few things) and re made one for the speaker with a better cut.
and of course i will have something to put behind the backbox, eventually.
i'm still waiting for updates on the cabinet and backbox, if he can take is thumb out of his ass.
considering option 2, a lot.
service buttons decal (resized).JPG
update on my restoration;
looks like it's gonna take a lot longer to finish my cabinet, he's busy, doesn't have much time to put on the machine, he works on it when he can.
not much i can do but wait, unfortunately.
meanwhile, if mother nature finally gives us better days, so i can paint outside in my garage, can't wait, i'll be working on a new light panel behind the backglass, playfield, new wood rails (each side of the playfield) and a few other things.
