Secret Service ($1000) vs Taxi ($1900)
Where is money better spent? Your thoughts.
They are both good games. I think I would buy a 4th Secret Service for 1K or less. Taxi for 2K, not so much.
Quoted from gunstarhero:Taxi is WAY more than twice the game.
How so? Features, build, rules, other? Just curious.
Quoted from herg:I guess that's why you're selling. It's worth more to others than it is to you.
Seems like a good reason to sell to me...
When it no longer brings you pleasure, why hold it - that's just space a new pin could go in!
Quoted from herg:I found this amusing.

So what's your vote?

You're wrong but nice try.

I'd love to have a nice Taxi, but only so much space. I can't remember ever playing Secret Service.
A 1900 taxi is not a great deal. yes it's a better game, but they made a shit ton of them and prices have always been low. Secret service for $800 would be a better deal.

Taxi's just way more fun shot and play wise, has a timeless theme, great sound and art for the era, and a goofy sense of humor.
Secret Service... has the fact that it's a cheap pinball going for it I guess? Ugly, clunky... but to be fair DE was still figuring things out at that time. Williams was mastering their art. Anyways, it's probably quick and dirty fun I guess but I think even at that price you can find better.

Yeah, I was using average pinside numbers to keep it "even".
Both games look like they might get boring too quickly, hoping that's not the case.
Quoted from TheLaw:I cannot fathom a world in which Secret Service is the correct answer to any question other than "name a game better than SF2."
Wow, that's a strong opinion. So you're going with Taxi then?
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Williams Grand Prix - $800
Stern Grand Prix - $3700

Never played either, but a friend is fixing a Williams right now so I can report on that version soon.

Williams grand prix is 10x's more fun than Nascar.
