    If the rubbing and polishing compound is wax and silicone free (and just about all high end ones are) you should be safe-ish. If you’re concerned, you can use a wax and grease remover or a good wipe down with degreaser before applying decals.
    Note on die cast decals, the thickness of the decal is usually a stark white, something to consider if you’re applying to a dark cabinet.
