    Quoted from phil-lee:

many Muslims have went Kosher since the rules for preparation are similar.

    Quoted from zr11990:

    Isnt that ironic?

Not particularly, they're working off the same basic recipe book. Of the "people of the book," the Christians are the odd men out in ignoring the food prep section.

    #2002 33 days ago
    Quoted from phil-lee:

You can find real sugar drinks at stores that cater to Jewish people, its considered Kosher.

A lot of stores carry it for Passover too. They usually have the CGC logo ( Chicago Rabbinical Council ) on it.

As much as I like Diet Coke, I never mix it with rum. Regular Coke, preferably Mexican Coke, is the only way to go.[quoted image]

Coke is good with rum. IMO Dr Pepper is the best.

If you were circumcised, but it wasn't done by a rabbi, does that mean your wiener isn't kosher?

When I was a kid, one of my favorites was Wink grapefruit soda. Haven’t seen it around in decades, though.

    That is great with gin!!

I love tequila mixed with Mountain Dew White Out, but now that soda seems to be gone from store shelves.

Back in the early 2000s my cousin and his roommates scored half a pallet of Mountain Dew Code Red being tossed out behind the Harris Teeter. They tried cutting it with pretty much everything, but for free soda in a college house it lasted a good long while.

I read somewhere that Mountain Dew was mad for mixing with bourbon

I haven't drank in over 15yrs or so but when I did I liked Vodka and grapfruit it was great!

Saw this the other day and it really took me back to some very hard times questioning myself and every belief I ever held. At that moment I could've easily drank a few Vodka and grapefruit some things in life never let go. Never forget and never forgive makes you question was it worth it when you look at people today.

When you wait patiently at the DMV for way over priced plate sticker outside ( only a few allowed in at a time) for 20 minutes in rather chilly atmosphere only to be told that the drive thru is open.

Yeah some call it a greyhound but we don't unless you use Grey Goose. I sometimes would put just a shot glass of cranberry in with it and they'd call it a Hurricane.

Every man must define “level headed common sense” as he sees fit. But you’re posting in a thread where the most recent page was dedicated to nostalgia for bygone sodas, suspect mixed-drink recipes, and wiener jokes.

    Exactly my point!
I’ve learned more (and laughed more) in one page about mixed drinks than most others in the last month. Thx-Love it.

Where did you find that? I love fresca. I put tequila in it sometimes

I think bars should maybe adopt a similar method; Cans only, though...bottles may get a bit dangerous

    #2043 28 days ago
    Quoted from pacmanretro:

.bottles may get a bit dangerous

Years ago bars had a system to send bottles to the basement. Kind of zig zagged their way down. Roll down a bit, stop and fall to the next level. Roll down a bit more and fall to the next level. Over and over to the bottom. Each level was a little higher than the bottle rolling sideways. So the bottle rolled through smoothly.

    Maybe use something like that.

    Quoted from LTG:

Years ago bars had a system to send bottles to the basement.

My wife's parents owed a bar and they had one of those. It was her job to go down to the basement and clear and clean it. She had one word for that job: Disgusting.

    #2045 28 days ago

I actually just remembered...the local bar/restaurant I worked at as a teen had a chute to the basement too! I don't know how gentle it really was though, as I remember constantly hearing that drop of the bottle down the hole and the clank/smash below.

Good memory of those days though!

My father took me to one of his locations that just installed one of those things. Being a little kid. I asked, "but then don't you have to haul them back upstairs ? "

    I was not very popular.
