NYC has a couple of them... one at a long-standing beloved bar called Max Fish and another at Sunshine Laundromat. I’ve played both, and honestly, considering they could have pulled a Magic Girl here and the base market wouldn’t give a shit... it’s actually a really fun game!
Lots of fast satisfying shots, a neat lock mechanism that was the pre-cursor to Deadpool, old school stripped down rules, and the sound effects are awesomely cheesy 80s-themed retro samples.
It has a throwback rule set that makes it purely points driven and I’ve always had a blast playing it.
Worth the market price? Hell no! No pinball is more than 10k worth of fun, period.
But... all things considering, it’s not a complete abomination and I have no problem dropping a few bucks into it when I’m around one. If Stern made it into a generic theme and priced it like a home edition I’d be all over it though!
