My Road Show will spontaneously reboot from time to time. It doesn't do it often and never at the same time twice. It happened yesterday about 15 seconds into my first game. Before that it's been weeks since it last happened. I've tried pressing both flipper buttons simultaneously but that doesn't seem to be doing it.

Any guesses what's happening?

Finally digging into this now that the weathers gone crappy and Christmas is pretty much over.

The Z-connector was very loose, so much so that even touching it would reset the game. Reseated all the connections and played a few games without any problems so far. I checked the 5V voltages and I'm getting 4.94 at driver board the and 4.90 at the CPU, so I'm getting some loss but I'm not sure how much is too much, or how low the CPU voltage can go before it becomes a problem. I seem to remember something like 4.85 was too low(?)

Hasn't reset since, but i haven't been playing too many games yet either. I'll be keeping an eye on it for sure, and definitely be changing up the connectors if it comes back; maybe even get rid of the Z-connector.

Just checked again; 4.95V at TP1, 4.92V at J210

Update. Still resetting - AARGH!

More testing:
- voltage at TP2 (not TP1) is 4.95V, voltage at pin 32 of ROM chip 4.90V.
- voltage at TP1 is 14.65V
- BR1 has been previously replaced
- tested BR1 and BR2:
- black lead DC positive, BR1 reads btwn 0.5 and 0.7, BR2 reads 1.47
- red lead DC negative, both BR1 and BR2 read between 0.5 and 0.7

Looks like a new BR2 in my future?

Totally forgot about this . . .

Update - replaced BR1 , BR2 and C5; working like a charm now!

Thanks for all the help
