Hello pinsiders, being pretty new to working on these boards, I would like some help with wiring to pin connectors. I am working on a Rottendog power supply board for a Data East JP. I removed connectors and wires from the board so they could fix a part in the circuit that was causing high voltage to the DMD. It was fixed and on its way back to me. Some/most wires were pressed into the connectors like a punch down type of connection where the wires are pierced for the connection. One particular connector that controls power to GI lighting had some burned marks and would like to replace this connection. I was told by Jim Knight from Rottendog that the connector could be replaced by the Molex connectors using the .156 connectors and appropriate 9 pin ramp. I can go this route but would need to buy all the parts plus crimper. Does anyone know if I can find the punch down type so I can just pinch the wire down instead, seems easier and cheaper? Part numbers and supplier or manufacturer would be great help. Thanks!
