If there is no screw underside of playfield, then might be that the post has been mounted a bit lower and its mounting screw has broken, and the post re-mounted to somewhat higher position with a new screw.

In that case, the remains of old screw can be removed by drilling from underside, then plug or fill holes and touch-up.
