I have been playing MET Pro and just recently AFMr SE. To me it seems that the ball acts completely different on the AFMr lower portion of the playfield than the MET. The ball moves in more arcs and seems to get "drawn" into the flipper and the side slings more. Not sure if I am giving good descriptions of the ball action but it seems totally different. So first, does this make sense? And if it does, what makes the difference?

several things could affect ball travel

    are machines level?
    pitch of machine?
    cleaned and waxed?
raised/cupped inserts (although the two titles you mentioned shouldnt have this issue)
bubbled mylar (although the two titles you mentioned shouldnt have this issue)

some Sterns you want to nudge the machine when the ball is leaving the orbit to return it back to the flipper, MET is one of them (if your talking about how the ball returns to the flippers)

One thing to consider is the ball is rolling and spinning.

The ball is wild for sure. I was wondering if there was something in the playfield that was added to make the different movement. I have played games before with the same feel as AFMr. I just can't describe it very well. Maybe it is the difference of angles the games are set up at and that does it.

They could definitely have different types of clearcoat. Different amount of play on the clear can also affect it, as well as how recently they were cleaned and waxed or how clean the balls are

One of the coolest things about pinball for me is how differently games play. Even the same titles can feel like an entirely different game depending on the factors mentioned above.
