I'm at the Convention Center playing a casual game on every open machine I can find. As I'm in the middle of ball 2 on Baywatch, I get distracted by the guy next to me, who is taking his game of Cyclone EXTREMELY seriously (certainly a lot more than Cyclone deserves). He has a very low, very wide stance, with his face close to the glass, studying the movement of the ball with a level of intensity I'd never seen before. His flipper movements are quick, deliberate and forceful, like a striking panther. I never saw him blink his eyes. After I was done with my 3rd ball, I just stepped back and watched this guy finish his game. It was mesmerizing.
Months later I noticed that same guy in a YouTube pinball video - turns out it was the legendary Lyman Sheats.
