I just received my mmr yesterday and today I tried to take the glass off to add a spotlight but the lockbar latch doesn't work. Is this a common thing or simple solution to this problem?? It opened fined the first time yesterday when I was adding the balls and now this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It might help to lean or push down on the lockbar to take some pressure off the latch . After you get it off there should be two screws to adjust the latch .

You can also push the glass back towards the backbox, sometimes that helps

I have a similar problem with mine. I just shut it as best I can.

would help if we knew what you were actually experiencing

the lockbar reciever is adjustable.. so if its pressure DOWN on it that's needed... adjust the height screws. Often the glass will press against it also causing binding.

Hi — you can open a service ticket with CGC if you’re unable to get it closed.

I would look at the metal channel where the playfield hangers rest and make sure that the hooks are flush and fully seated down into the metal lockdown bar receiver. The mechanism can be a little tight, but it should be able to close.

You can also try the following:

- Without the glass installed, does it easily close?
- With the playfield up in service position, can you close the bar?

Trying to understand what is putting upward pressure on your latch, etc.

This fixed the problem. The glass slides down so I have to slide it up everytime before lifting the lockbar. Thank you for the advice.
