It's beautiful, just fit right in to the surroundings. Guess your son is gonna be an architect or artist. Either way you can't go wrong with Falling Water, Wright's greatest achievement. Love his work!
Just think, Kaufman commissioned this house including property for 150K! Fully furnished by Wright as well. The furniture is built in and still original.
Quoted from Darcy:Only thing is that 150K was a lot of money in 1936. $155,000 was spent on the house, furniture, and a guest house, the 2017 equivalent is $2.7 Million. A guess would be that an average 4 bedroom home, then would be $2,800, to $5,000. In 2017 an appraisal was written for $11 Million.
2 million and change for that house, design fees, guest house, furniture, etc, is still remarkable for today.
