Even if you ignore the possibility that some of the items being offered are way above retail and not necessarily rare, the operative issue is, if you're going to sell stuff, properly represent the stuff. It's not being "rude" to expect more than a fuzzy picture of some shapes in a box. If this guy has any experience selling stuff, he should know he can't expect much when a) he won't itemize what's being sold and b) the pictures don't show half of what's in the lot.
If you want to sell stuff in lots, fair enough. But at least take some clear pictures. If you claim to have rare NOS items, then document that by listing specifics. I'm not sure exactly what favor the guy is doing for the community otherwise. I don't think it's inappropriate to point this out. Provide more details so interested buyers can make an informed purchase, otherwise, to someone who might not personally know the seller, the auctions look a bit deceptive. Just sayin'.
