Quoted from LTG:Fuse for that coil ? Broken wire at the coil ? Carefully go over the solder joints at the coil lugs for cold solder joints, or thin wires from the coil windings to the lugs, for cracks or breaks.
LTG : )
This.
Check the connections from the wires to the coils aka the "lugs" on that coil.
I used to own a DE JP too. I had two instances of this happening. One was a wire that became disconnected but since it had a plastic sheathing over the connection it was hard to notice. The other time the wire had completely snapped off but would make connectivity sometimes as a result to simply resting on the coil's lug.
LTG actually solved that problem for me over 4 years ago. Here's a picture and thread of that happening. Does yours look like this? https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/jurassic-park-t-rex-eats-ball-but-doesnt-pop-out-video#post-3318995
In either case, if this is the problem, you're going to nee to buy some solder and a soldering gun.
