Hello Baywatch experts. A friend bought such a machine and the display is at fault: The picture content is randomly blanked out in waves, best seen in a youtube video i have recorded. The video here:

shows the output of the diagnostic section for the display. The power input to the boards check OK. I would like to determine if the error is in the display itself or in the display controller board. It seems that for both items there are new electronics available. Also thanks for any hints what to check / replace / and/or buy.

Thank you. In the meantime i have taken some pictures of the DMD driver around the part with the power supply circuitry: (Vishay DMD) All caps look fine, but they could be bad anyway. I will cut them all out from above as a last resort. If that does not help i will replace it with a large PIN2DMD for sega.
I will post the results later.

update: I have replaced the caps shown above. But the fault still looks the same. It must be the display itself. I am wating for a Pin2dmd XL for sega.

O.K. i finally got a PIN2DMD replacement display and this works. It was not the controller or any of the above mentioned parts but probably some kind of gas leak in the DMD sandwitch itself. Thanks for the help in this forum.
