    Thank you for the reply.
Is that a simplified version of 4 players on a game and get points for position...but you just 'strike one' the lowest score?

    Yes.

On Matchplay.events, you can set up the 4Player groups and give Strikes to 2nd, 3rd and/or 4th. In any combination.

You can also set it up so that every round is one game, and each new round has new groups of 4Player matches based on strikes.

In our local leagues, we follow this approach and group players by strikes.

So after Round 1 (which is assigned randomly), players will play in groups with other players who have the same strike total.

So in Round 2, all the zero strike players are grouped together and the one strike players are grouped together.
Round 3, all zero strikes get grouped. All 1 strikes get grouped together. All 2 strikes get grouped together.
    Repeat for every round thereafter.

This allows lower caliber players an opportunity to win a game or two. If they get hot, they can win the whole thing. But they still have to prove their stuff by playing against the better players later in the event.

Players just go play on the assigned machine. New players in our league like to be pointed towards a machine, play their game, report results. Repeat.

it's easy, fun and all of the new players like the simplicity.

We can complete a 4 strike event with 16 players in 2-3 hours. And using 4player groups allows you to only tie up 4 machines as the others in the collection are available for use during the round.

If you want more details on how using this format, send me a PM and we can discuss it in greater depth.

    Marcus
