I have been into pinball for 9 and a half years, and i just picked up my 100th game (top card). After so many years and games, i have learned a ton, loved pinball, hated pinball, expanded my collection, sold everything, met a ton of great people, realized i dont have a "type" for games, i love most games. I just wanted to share my milestone.

Indeed congrats are in order! If memory serves we did a deal together where you bought my Gottlieb Wipe Out a while back. That was a fun game. Hope you enjoyed it.

See you have a skee ball with the same “winner” light that I have. Does yours work. Are you familiar with its operation. Would like to bounce a few ideas off you’re familiar with its operation? I restored the one that I have which I believe is circa 1958. Totally went through it and dialed it in. Only thing that is left is the “winner” circuit

Well again congrats. You have quite a collection!!

Very nice! You have a good taste in the older Bally machines I see.

The best kind of pinballers! Congrats on 100.

Congrats, I remember those days. I'm sitting at #681 since August 1996 and I'm not a distributor at all, just bought one here or there and the occasional "warehouse" raid. Sure was fun back then but those days are far behind us at this point, sadly.

I had over 130 at the beginning of the year - selling a few off has been nice. As you guys would know, it’s a full time job looking after them all. On top of all the other full time jobs we have to do.

Will continue to flick a few more off over the next year as some of my life priorities change.

I couldn’t imagine how much space you’d need to own 100 machines. I just built a large shed to house mine and I only have 22!

About 5 times the size of your new shed.

At 127 in my archive, with many games owned multiple times.

I’m blessed to have gotten into the hobby long ago when 90% of used pins were less than $2000 and the hobby was made up of collectors and enthusiasts that were more willing to trade simply to have a new-to-them game than to “get ahead” or make a profit.

The amount of pinball-as-an-investment type douchebags that have joined recently has soured the hobby to me and I don’t see myself trading/selling/buying nearly as much in the future because of them.

I really like wipeout, i ended up selling a bumch of low end games to buy my first high emd game (metallica). One of my best pinball memories was actually selling wipeout. I sold it to someone in the poconos, who wanted it for his ski cabin. I delivered the game to him, and took the family on a small vacation to do it. We ended up going to knoebels amusement park and just had a great time! Knoebels is awesome if youve never been. Best amusement park i habe ever been to

    Yes! Knoebels is great fun!

The winner light on skeeball requires a special bulb. If you have the wrong bulb, a fuse will blow when you reach the winner threshold.

Wish you were closer I would give you a balloon!

    Same here.

The recent influx of “look at my $2000 topper” “Novus the playfield every week” anal retentive guys has really tired me on the hobby too.

I’ve been doing it 33 years, thereabouts. I got my first pin for $150 when I was 18/19.

Half of my pins were 1000-1500 New Zealand bucks. Ludicrous that a Mando topper is $3400 NZD. Just friggin crazy.

So here we go, how about gambling? I've also found information about https://casinosanalyzer.com/online-casinos/google-pay best Google Pay online casinos so I guess there's something to think about. Who's online with me? By the way I'd also like us to discuss strategies in online games.

I’ve only been in the hobby for a couple years but my buddy and I call those guys “LE guys.” The few I’ve met aren’t really bad people or anything, just super ocd, maybe bipolar or something. I mostly just feel bad for their wives and kids.

But to the op, congrats, I would love to have that many if I had the space, I definitely would do it.

    #21 6 months ago

I wish i had all 100 games. But to afford it i had to buy fix and sell many many games. I mostly keep my collection now out of my bank account. If i sell a game, i buy a game. Although i have bought a couple recently just because.

The "le people" are a pain to sell to, because they act like the game should not be played and kept in a sealed container or something, but i guess good for them. Me, i want to play my games. If i dont shop them for awhile, oh well, ill play it dirty and get to it when i can.

    #22 6 months ago

I guess my original post didnt really specify that i dont have 100 games. I have owned 100 games. Currently i have 23

I remember those days with wanted ads in small hick town Pennysavers having
3,4,7 messages on the answering machine when coming home from work. From free,
to $100.00 a machine back then. It didn't take very long to get to 100, but did take a
while to get many setup. I haven't counted them, but between EM Arcades and pinball,
there's probably around 100 up and running..
I remember always feeling a little excitement coming home from work seeing that
    answering machine flashing..

    #24 6 months ago

I'll call and leave you a message if ya want? Bring back some "good ole day" memories....I'll even ask if your refrigerator is running!

Sounds good! I still have a landline and answering machine,
and yes, the fridge is running and ice cold!

That's all I have or need.

And no, I never kept track of all the games that came and went around here, nor how much was gained or lost or even how much each one cost.

Why bother. Nothing to be gained or lost with that either. Only inventory that matters is what is here now.

    Congratz on the milestone(s)!

I'm going into my third year of ownership shortly, and doing my 2nd trade tmrw. They do happen, but the price comparison nickel and diming does ruin it slightly.

What're your favourite titles amonst those you've owned?

    #28 6 months ago

I stopped counting after about 50 games, but it looks like I have also passed the 100 game milestone Of course not all with me at the same time. I think the most I had was about 40 games at one time. Today, smaller game room and about 15 games - but plenty of good memories left from all the past games.

Favorites by far are deadpool and maiden. I miss my bally atlantis, metallica, rollergames, a bunch of them id love to have back

I miss many of the 90s B/W games that were in my collection. Even though I mastered them, they were still better shooters with more attainable goals than the more modern games.

Yes, and lately I've been collecting them back one at a time instead of buying new ones.

According to my pin collection spreadsheet (which may or may not be 100% chronologically accurate)
My 100th pin was fairly non eventful or not very special
It was Allied Leisure Sea Hunt
some where around 2002 or 2003
Got it on ebay from someone in San Jose area.
Games purchased just before and after
were more eventful and special and I still have in my possession.
99 was WMS Defender, purchased on ebay from somewhere in Midwest (Ohio?).
101 was WMS Jungle, also ebay from New York.
