This board is a direct replacement for the proximity sensor board. It is redesigned to perform self calibration at power on removing the need to adjust the potentiometer from drift. It supports two configurations. The "lane" or "narrow" configuration and the "hit" or "wide" configuration. Configuration is selected by shunt jumper position. A-18543-1 is "lane" or "narrow". A-18543-2 is "hit" or "wide". It is fully compatible with A-18543-1 and A-18543-2. It is also electrically compatible with A-16922 used in Star Trek: The Next Generation. It is not physically compatible and use of this board to replace A-16922 will require establishing new mounting holes.

WPC-PRX-SC1 is directly compatible with A-18543-1 and A-18543-2.

A-18543-1:

- Theatre of Magic (quantity 2)
- Star Trek: The Next Generation (is actually A-16998 but is electrically compatible)

A-18543-2:

- Road Show (quantity 3)
- Theatre of Magic (quantity 1)
- Scared Stiff (quantity 1)

There is also electrical compatibility with the WPC-95 versions of the board. The WPC-95 version is larger so it is not directly physically compatible.

- A-22149-2 used in Cirqus Voltaire can be replaced with A-18543-2.
- A-22149-1 used in Monster Bash can be replaced with A-18543-1.
