Reconditioned - Waiting for a home to support restoration and revive this unique machine.
Produced by Gottlieb
Released in 1975
One of only 2,225 units produced, this electro-mechanical (EM) machine features 2 flippers, 2 pop bumpers, 2 slingshots, 1 10-bank drop target and 3 or 5 ball play. Maximum displayed point score is 99,990 points. Replay wheel maximum 9 (half-moon credit window) or 15 (square replay window). Tilt penalty: gameover. Right playfield has two parallel lanes of serial rollovers. Some games in this production run have the half-moon credit window instead of the square window. Designer Jeff Brenner left Gottlieb before this game was produced, and he was unaware that any examples were made having the half-moon credit window until IPDB contacted him about it. According to Jeff Brenner, who designed the game, he had the top three advance lights moving from right to left. When the production schematic designer/draftsman, Robert Moravec, re-did the circuit schematic, he reversed the lane direction to left to right. Jeff asked to have it changed back to right to left, but it remained as left to right when it went into production. Also, the designer shared that noteworthy on this game, was his concept of awarding a scoring premium for hitting two adjacent drop targets simultaneously, whichh many players agree is a rewarding feature. Fun fact: this game has the same playfield layout as Gottlieb's 1971 'Lawman' but without the free ball gate, bonus ladder and other inserts. Art by Gordon Morison.
