Are you tired of your brand new home use pinball machines suffering from shooter lane damage after only a few plays? ME TOO!! Don't settle for busted up shooter lanes after 100 games on your new machine.. protect your investment!

Pin Defender shooter lane protectors offer full coverage protector from shooter lane damage from the ball being ejected from the trough into the lane. Oh.. and they look super cool as well! We are able to print in all colors of PLA plastic - we can and will use more colors as we begin to learn what pinball owners want for their games.

These protectors are made by a pinball enthusiast, tested on my own machines and perfected to be virtually hangup-free. It's still possible, but highly unlikely to get a ball hangup with this protector. Hangups occur when the ball is plunged too short and rolls back across the protector. If the ball does not have enough momentum, a hangup could occur there. These protectors were designed and re-designed dozens of times to come up with the best balance of thickness (for strength) and design (to avoid hangups).

If your game is not listed, make sure to enter your game in the ordering options. We will do our best to fit a Pindefender to your game. Please be aware that untested games may take a few tries until we get the part sized right, at no cost to you.

**A note about Spooky games: Spooky comes with a foam triangle cutout from the factory next to the trough kickout. It seems these triangles were custom cut for each game so the sizes vary. You will need to remove this triangle if you want to use a Pindefender. It should remove easily as it's just stuck down with adhesive backing. The Pindefender will cover the area that the foam previously covered, so you will be fully protected. I realize some won't want to remove this foam, but it seems like the only option given the design of Pindefender.

Pin Defenders are best installed by removing some or all of the rail next to the shooter lane, then sliding the protector under the rail into the shooter lane. The Pin Defender is then held down by the pressure of the rail when the screws are re-installed. If the Pin Defender is not installed properly it can snap apart or be damaged by the game's auto plunger - be sure to read supplied installation instructions before hand!!

***IMPORTANT NOTES!***

These shooter lane protectors are 3D printed. Many hours have been spent fine tuning the settings to 3D print these for you in order to balance quality and strength. 3D prints are weak in between their layers, and these objects are fairly thin for a 3D printed object. Keep in mind that under the stress of your hands, the protectors can break - especially in the very thin spots such as the mounting plate (the part with the holes in it that goes under the side rail. Take caution when handling these and they should perform nicely under normal gameplay. Remember - they are not made of stainless steel, mithril or adamantium.

These shooter protectors may not have been tested on your games, but should fit most standard games. Please read through the list below and consider if the shooter lane on your game has a similar shape to these games. For example, Pindefender does not fit Bram Stoker's Dracula as it has a very short shooter lane leading up to the diverting ramp.

All protectors are gently tested before being shipped, but can still suffer from printing defects that may not be detectable. ***HEADS UP***

Just some disclaimers based on feedback from early adopters:

1. Pindefender does raise your ball up from the shooter lane (1-2mm). In some cases due to the shape of the auto plunger, this pushes the ball just slightly away from the manual plunger, and it can no longer make ideal contact. In fact some games come from the factory like this (in my experience). We will ship a few plunger pucks if you order for games known to have this issue (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SvL_vl5BUNhT2pGlPR1mio4MoLIepGK8CUXT5bKNJPE/edit?usp=sharing).

2. You may have to adjust the trough eject strength. If it's set to max, the ball may bounce off the wood rail, then back down into the shooter groove. Pindefender adds another object for the ball to bounce off of. The ball may bounce into a bad spot like back down into the trough. If this happens, you should consider it a hole in one and celebrate - but then adjust your trough eject strength to compensate for it.

3. See #1 and #2 and remember every game is built differently. Maybe the CNC decided to cut too far to the left on your game, or maybe it didn't cut the shooter groove deep enough. These things happen, and we have no control over it.
