This is a plug'n'play version of the often heard about Tiger Saw Mod, which makes the saw blade turn in certain game situations. It doesn´t involve any modifications to the pinball machine because it comes with a new bracket with the motor already mounted. I raised the saw blade a little so the motor fits perfectly above the plastic ramp behind the saw blade. This way it can be mounted using the original screws and holes in the backboard.
In addition to that there is a ring of addressable LEDs behind the saw blade which illuminates the saw blade with different effects depending whether the saw blade is turning or not.
The whole thing is controlled by a board which serves as the EMI filter and holds a little Arduino ATTiny85 which does the light effects.
The installation is very easy and can be done in 15-30 minutes.
The mod comes with all cables needed to connect it to your ToM. It is set to run on the 5V supply of the pin, but can be switched with a simple jumper to run on the 12V supply of the pin. Although the mod draws only 500-600mA there may be cases where the pin's 5V supply is already strained.
