PinWooferTM - Coin Door Unit (CDU)

Add unprecedented capability to your Spike-2 Pinball Machine!

The CDU functions with or without a PinWoofer System.

The CDU provides the following features:
 Machine & Headphone Volume Control
 3.5mm Headphone Jack
 External Subwoofer Bass Cutoff Frequency Control
 External Subwoofer Volume Control
 External Service Menu Buttons

Tools Required i) Cable tie cutters or scissors, 11/32 Nut Driver.

Installation time is less than one-hour, typically 30 minutes.

Power is supplied using a provided connector board and power cable.

The CDU Backbox Module interfaces to the Spike-2 CPU node board and conveys necessary signals to the Coin Door Module.

Master & Headphone Volume controls both the machine volume, and headphone volume. (Menu configurable.)

Automatic speaker cut when headphones are plugged. (Menu configurable.)

A feature found only with PinWoofer – externalized Service Menu Buttons! This allows access to and adjustment of anything in the service menu without opening the coin door. (There is a concealed disable switch found on the back of the Coin Door Module if you would like to temporarily or permanently disable the external service menu buttons.)

Features an integrated PinWoofer BBU (Bass Boost Unit) that allows for boost of the signal sent to your externally powered subwoofer. The result is an improvement in bass signal and bass quality. The BBU roll-off is quite steep (~35dB / decade above ωc) so the result is filtering of unwanted high bass that might otherwise rob power from the bass spectrum and reduce quality. It is not surprising that the result is a "purification" so to speak, of the bass signal provided to the external and less energy is wasted on high bass.
 Maximum boost ~8dB (~2.5x).
 Cutoff frequency is adjustable ~50-173Hz @ -3dB ωc.
 Frequency roll-off ~35dB/Decade.

If you have the PinWoofer GT Amplifier installed into your Spike-2 title, you MUST have an expander board delete kit installed in order for the CDU to work correctly. (The PinWoofer GT Expander Board Delete kit can be found at: PinWoofer.com->Accessories->Audio Gadgets ->PinWoofer Spike-2 CDU Kit.

Includes i) PinWoofer CDU power tap with splitter at CN6, ii) one 3ft power cable, iii) one 1.5ft Male to Male TRS Cable, iv) quantity two, 300mm 7-pin rainbow jumper harnesses, v) adhesive double sticky mounting tape, vi) Active CDU Backbox Module, vii) 12ft 3.5mm TRS Male Stereo to RCA Male Stereo Subwoofer Cable, viii) quantity two 10ft RJ45 / Cat5 Ethernet Cables, ix) 4x #8 Flat Washer, x) cable ties xi) CDU Coin Door Module and xii) quantity one, 300mm 6-pin rainbow jumper harness.

If you plan to powder coat or paint your coin door and want your CDU coin door plate to match, we will perform the re-assembly of your CDU coin door plate after coating. We'll ship a blank aluminum plate to you with your kit, and you'll return the plate to us after coating. Simply select the "Post Finish Re-Assembly Fee" option and we'll take care of the rest.
 Contact us prior to ordering so we can provide instructions and costs since there is a fee to perform the CDU coin door plate re-assembly.
 Return shipping be assessed when complete.
 The CDU coin door unit is not warrantied if you disassemble it on your own and no instructions to perform this are provided.
