Maybe you need the lamp driver board because your game has a broken one, or a missing one.
After experimenting, the board does not appear to allow you to put LEDs in your game. There appears to be some reason related to the software that does not allow them to operate regardless of which board you use, this new one or the original.
Please make certain that you need an LDU-2. The board is a direct replacement for an LDU-1 as well, but message me if your game takes that one. I will build up a list of compatible games here for others.
