Tired of failing opto switches that are hard to replace? This new design is a direct replacement for the board(s) used on World Poker Tour (4), Shrek, and Family Guy.
The board is assembled with all through hole parts, and very easy to repair.
Note the 8 LEDs.. one red per channel indicates that the emitter is working, and one green per channel indicates target up/down and that the receiver is functioning.
The opto switches are mounted with regular hardware, not rivets. And the leads come through the board and solder to a pad on the board. They can be replaced with a simple soldering iron. Note that the opto leads come through the board and are NOT soldered in the hole. This prevents the vibration from shearing off the lead to the opto, which will significantly extend the life of the board.
As a matter of fact, we are so confident that we will replace or repair the board for a full 12 months from purchase.
