After much contemplation, I am thinking about selling my Fathom.

This is a very pretty players condition game. It's captivating and gorgeous and it plays great without errors.

The backglass is beautiful. The playfield is original and is in very nice shape. A few tasteful touch-ups around some of the inserts here and there, but very hard to tell. Some circular mylar around the pops and nothing is peeling and no loss of design or wear under the mylar. The pf looks smooth and it is smooth and if there's cupping at the inserts, it's super mild, hard to tell and it doesn't affect gameplay at all. The plastics are all in excellent shape without warps or cracks.

The drop targets are all new and look great and function well and the cave trap saucers are in super shape. I have installed a new pf apron and recently replaced all the rubbers throughout (slings, flippers, etc) and rebuilt/installed new components to all three of the flippers.

The cabinet shows its age as expected with some mild bumps and bruises along with some tasteful touch-ups here and there, but overall is very presentable and super solid. Coin door is very nice, as are the legs. There is a custom shooter rod that is very cool as well.

There is new Altek MPU and Driver board, as well as new LED/light board and rectifier board. Sound board is original and functions well.

While it's set to allow LED, my preference is towards incandescents on this machine. While there are LEDs under the inserts, the game is currently housing both clear and blue glass incandescent bulbs on the pf for GI and in the backbox, along with some flashers in the backbox at the Fathom logo, which I think gives the backglass a great look. I have installed lighted flipper buttons which are lit by the blue glass incandescents and installed a warm-white trough light adding a nice glow to the trapped dude between the flippers.

Overall this is a gem of a game and has been a joy to both look at and play.
