Condition: Used - shows wear but 100% working and clean
$ 6,000 (Firm)
Price is firm
I’m listing my very nice players condition Addams Family. I would really like to trade for an AFMr but would sell outright and use the money to buy one. I would also consider a partial trade for a Fireball or Whirlwind.
Pros:
Plays 100%. I’m not a pinball technician so there could be some unknown issue. No errors. I have found people like me trying to fix the electronics just causes more issues so I didn’t attempt to do anything other than clean/wax. Leave a working machine alone. Thing hand and bookcase have worked perfect for me since I’ve had it.
When I got it I removed the ramp and plastics and cleaned the playfield in the hard to reach places. Cleaned the plastics.
New Titan rubbers everywhere.
LEDs installed. When I got it the previous owner already put leds in it. I changed out a bunch of those with Comet frosted sunlight bulbs because I like that white better.
Added more light. Two post lights at graveyard entrance under the ramp and flood light on the bookcase. Small blue led Comet matrix strip under the polar bear ramp. I think it is a good balance of lighting up the dark playfield without blinding the player. I left the flashers incandescent.
Lee’s Parts scoop lights in the electric chair, swamp and swim kick out, vault, and thing ramp. Lee’s topper light.
Addams Famild Gold Rom installed
NVRAM installed
Fused magnet board installed
Cons:
Magnet burn at usual place. It has a Mylar decal from little shop of games that the previous owner put on. I think it looks good so I haven’t messed with it. Covers above the top of the mansion (smoke and explosion). I haven’t looked under the decal to see the actual extent of the damage, but I would assume if you want to do a high quality restore it would need repaired or play field replaced. Looks like the magnet that was the culprit was replace and fused magnet board installed(before I got it)
Gomez sling plastic has a crack. See pic
Ramp has a small broken piece at the screw before the wire form. See pic. I thought about replacing the ramp, but it doesn’t effect play so I figured it’s up to the next owner. Or I will replace it if I keep it and eventually do a full restore.
Right apron has some worn off art. It had a decal over it but it bothered me to have a decal on one side and not the other. I would rather look at worn original art so I removed it.
Some mediocre black touch up paint around the flipper buttons on the cabinet.
No key for the back box lock. The coin door has a keyless latch.
Overall it’s a nice machine and perfect for someone who wants to play it, not just look at it.
As far as trade I really want an AFMr.
I’m figuring +$500 to you for SE
+$500 to me for CE. = for CE with color and shaker.
I also would really like a Whirlwind with about $3000 to me for a nice players condition(maybe less to me for really nice one)
Would sell outright for $6,000 cash
Let me know if you have any questions or want more pictures. I would prefer someone picks it up so you can see it in person and play before you buy. Cash.
