Item description

For Sale: A very nice, family friendly, Data East title from the late 80's - Secret Service. A full tear-down/shop-job was just completed - the game looks great, and plays 100%.

The work completed is as follows:

- Power supply board rebuilt - all electrolytic capacitors replaced, the high-voltage side was also repaired due to a subtle capacitor leak causing bridged traces and creating inconsistent voltages - all connector pins inspected and re-flowed as needed;

- The usually problematic female GI connector on the Power Supply board was replaced w/new;

- MPU mounted battery holder was removed - memory-function restored with a new Pinitech NVRAM;

- The 4/7 display board replaced with a used, and fully working, original orange Williams equivalent;

- Multiple historic under playfield wiring, and lower-flipper mechanical, hacks repaired;

- Complete top-side teardown;

- Playfield extensively cleaned, polished, and waxed;

- All new rubbers installed;

- New balls installed;

- New coin-door lock installed;

- All playfield & backbox GI lighting replaced with Comet LED's (feature lights/flashers still incandescent);

- New custom instruction/price cards installed.

Please review the pictures for additional condition details and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, or if you would like to see supplementary photos with any specific detail. Full factory Mylar is present on this machine, so playfield wear is almost non-existent. There are a couple of subtlety cracked/broken plastics, and old repair work has been completed on the underside of the ramp (cant really be seen unless the ramp is completely removed, ramp is solid). The ramp entrance corners are chipped/broken as they all are. The original cabinet/topper/translite are quite nice on this example (topper works/lights/functions properly).

The game is located in Central Pennsylvania, just off I-80. Pickup is highly preferred, but shipping is not out of the question if the buyer makes all arraignments, and payment-in-full has cleared my account before the game leaves my possession. I can also recommend a very reasonable amusements shipper I use, and have had good luith, who can usually move pins to most any door east of the Mississippi for ~$275.
