I am selling my 1972 Bally Fireball. I've had her for almost 20 years and she's not getting any play time as I work on other projects. It's time for her to have a special Christmas with a new family.
The machine is in good condition.
The good:
- The playfield is nice, smooth and has had a clear coat put on it at some point. There aren't any wear spots but there has been some touch up done on the upper left where the ball drops down.
- I bought replacement plastics a while back and they look great. No cracks or yellowing.
- The cabinet is solid but does have some markings on it. It's pretty much what you would expect from a piece of art 46 years old.
- The coin door is a beauty that takes nickels, dimes and quarters. When is the last time you had a chance to put a nickel in a machine and it work? Probably not since the last time you had a chocolate malt in your hand.
The bad:
- The backglass has a chip on the lower left.
- The gate at the top right of the playfield is missing.
I've put in new sleeves for the flipper and slingshot coils. The flippers flip and the slingshots sling but further tweaking can be done to improve performance.
All in all a pretty nice machine that you will be proud to own.
