For sale is my 1982 Stern Orbitor 1. Rare game with only 889 produced and the last game produced by Stern Electronics. Nice shape and fun to play. Minimum wear to the drain hole. I thought the original florescent bulb under the playfield wasn't bright enough, so I've installed a couple long LED strips under the playfield and under surrounding playfield plastics. Linked together and controlled by one remote. They fit and were hidden pretty easily between the two layers of plastics and could be removed if desired. I think they make a big difference to an already unique game. I've also put some non-ghosting LEDs in most of the backbox spots.
Here's a quick video of the game with the LEDs fading through different colors. Looks brighter than it is, but you can control the brightness level with the remote, or leave it on one color of your choice.

Game Features;
Rotating target bumpers add spin in addition to bounce, making the physics of the curved playfield difficult for the inexperienced Orbitor-1 player. Playfield is (smooth) molded Plexiglas, with the moonscape surface artwork suspended beneath it. The moonscape is lit from below by a fluorescent tube.
Drop all the targets in the two 3-target banks to advance bonus. Drop all the "Orbitor" targets and then hit all the Orbiter targets behind them to start multi-ball, or hit the captured ball hard and it'll bounce out and start multi-ball.
The backglass is made of a clear protective plastic cover and a rigid translite behind which are raised 3D features.
Priced at $2995.00. I'm south of Birmingham, AL. Pickup available or I can ship with STI. Shipping has been running around $400.00+ with insurance. Prefer to sell, but would consider some type of trade + cash for something from my wishlist. Would also be interested in an Ice Cold Beer by Taito, or a nice Multicade as a partial trade. PM me with offers, questions, etc.
