Recently played Ghostbusters and fell in love. Since I already have an SWLE on order, that means something has to go to make money and room. Otherwise, I'd be sleeping on the couch for a month. ;-)
Up for sale is my Twilight Zone which is, overall, in very good condition.
The History:
I bought this game dirt cheap two years ago because it had been dropped several years before, and sat unplayable in storage ever since. It was in bad shape, and my only hope was to restore it to a decent state. It turned out that, despite having been so cruelly treated, most of the game was actually in really good shape under the dirt, broken plastics and rotten rubber.
I worked with a local wood worker to get the cabinet straight again, and then spent months cleaning and repairing, and replacing what was beyond salvage. As you can see from the pictures, the results were very good.
The Good:
Machine plays great, without any issues or credit dots
All original boards
Cointaker Premium Non-Ghosting LEDs throughout
Color DMD (LCD)
9.4H Home Rom
Upgraded LED clock board
Blue Clock Housing and Prototype Style Face
Piano Mod
Gumballs in Gumball Machine
Pinball Pro Speaker Kit
Pinnovators Headphone Jack
New Powerball
Brand new smoke colored ramp
Plastics all in great shape (many replaced)
New black powder coated legs, bolts and levelers
New side rails
Newer coin door
The cabinet colors are bright and not noticeably faded, with minimal scratches and scrapes (did my best to get pictures, but hard where the machine currently sits).
The Bad:
The cabinet was pretty banged up from the drop, and the damage is still visible on the back right of the cabinet (I tried to take decent pictures), and we used a couple screws on the outside of the cabinet to reinforce things. I always meant to repair the damage, or re-decal it, but never got around to it.
There's also a tiny bit of wear under the slot machine kickout where it's rubbed white. I've placed fresh Mylar over the wear spot, and it seems to be holding up great. I think someone before me used it with a wrong or misplaced kickout solenoid. Again, I included a picture of the wear.
Please ping me with any questions, and I will happily get back to you as quickly as I can. I'm not interested in shipping at this point.
