Hey all -
I've had the pleasure of meeting some incredible pinheads over the years who have helped me acquire several " grails " that I remember from my youth. SO many great memories of playing Baby PacMan in the arcades ( when it worked ). However, our GBLE just arrived and I'm officially out of space. Nobody gives Baby Pac any love except me, thus up for your consideration is an original Baby PacMan pictured below.
Here's the story and background:
Purchased this game from a pinhead in the midwest in 2013. Game arrived with a malfunctioning Vidiot board and a glitchy MPU due to being jostled around in shipping.
The game came with two play fields. One clear coated and an original play field with the usual wear ( gave the original play field away at PAGG 2015 ). As you can see in the photos, the previous owner did not touch up the wear spot around baby's left arm prior to clear coating. The clear coated play field had some mechanical issues when I received it.
Pinball Pirate Chris Kuntz made a couple of house calls to correct my concerns. Chris repaired the MPU and removed the batteries prior to any damage could take place and added a CR2032 battery instead of the usual alkaline batteries. A couple board components were replaced as well as the underside of the play field. I will include the receipts for the new owner.
Monitor was recapped in 2013 with little use since. Enjoyed in climate controlled home in CA. Looks to have matching numbers from the Bally production certificate and PCB's ( FYI in case that's important to anyone ).
The side art and CPO look fantastic, especially considering they are all original. I would probably replace the t-molding as the lower left portion could use replaced. There are a couple water marks along the lower side edges of the cabinet, but since this was in a line up I did not address.
At any rate, this is our first Pinside sale. I've acquired many games over the years and never thought I would be out of room, so hopefully this is fairly painless :)
Located in Roseville, CA. Just moved to climate controlled garage this afternoon. Shipping okay if buyer makes all arrangements. I have a couple of extra Chep pallets if it needs to be palletized.
Please feel free to shoot me a PM with any questions.
Thanks,
Justin
