Restoration:
Cabinet was repaired, filled and sanded to bare wood. It was painted with PPG Lacquer based paint.
Backbox light door was repainted white
New cabinet decals applied.
New factory type decals applied
All wiring harnesses were ultrasonic cleaned and repaired as needed.
All small metal parts were media tumbled and shined
All boards were gone through by a board specialist. All needed updates and improvements were done.
NVRAM added.
Silkscreened warning label applied to back of cabinet
Red powder coating including leg, hinge and side rail bolts
Automotive clear coated playfield
Automotive clear coated apron
Automotive clear coated back playfield board (with chaser lights)
Blue powder coated wireformed ramp, apron guard and right flipper lane wire
Coin door not repainted and in extremely good condition.
Carriage bolt heads painted black
All stand up targets have new foam applied behind them.
A few plastic protection washers put in places
Every mech has quick disconnects
Every mech was taken apart, cleaned, shined, repaired if needed
Lamp sockets and switches replaced as needed
Even the chaser lights at the back of the playfield work correctly
Mostly new nuts, bolts, screws
All coils applied with new wrappers
All light boards have solder reflowed on pins and socket contacts
The Good:
You'll probably never find another Game Show that has been restored to this level.
100% working order and has been very dependable since the restoration.
Whatever I have left over from the restoration…you can have.
The Bad:
4 inserts have some bubbles in the clear coat.
Not very noticeable…especially with the insert light on.
It’s the only thing about this restoration that I wish was better.
While playing...I really don't notice it.
