Item description

Features rare backbox animation of a ball being bowled.

Read On:
Asking price for this piece of pinball history is NOW $650 for the game AND both backglasses - the original Williams painted backglass of 1965, AND the $250 limited run reproduction by Greatwich John.

The sale includes original schematic, for this hard-to-find Williams classic single-player electro-mechanical (EM) number-reel style pinball machine with a unique mechanical backbox!

In good condition considering age - with some cabinet wear and fade on both sides and some minor paint loss in the upper-mid playfield. It has 1 slightly cracked flipper bat (the old metallic style), and also has 1 loose insert near the flippers - which is easily re-seated using simple Elmer's Glue.

The game is located 7 miles off I-81 (Exit 15) about 45 mins. south of Harrisburg, PA - and is located on ground-level for easy pick-up and move-out.

Williams made 1,800 back in August of 1965 - I have heard that probably 300 still exist today. This title with its very unique 'slingshot kicker' design and backbox animation of a rolling ball, was very popular in most bowling alleys, amusement halls and diners back in the 1960s.

Below is a link to a 4-minute video of this very same pinball machine being enjoyed - with a player's commentary provided by acknowledged EM pinball expert Bruce Moyer - at the 2008 York White Rose Game Room Show held in York, PA. This same game was purchased 6 months later in April 2009, just after this video was taken:

It's been in a smoke-free home and in a non-sunlit room and has presented no service issues since April 2009 (when purchased from a collector). It is being offered for sale simply due to space.

While NOT necessarily for the person/family seeking a cosmetically perfect NOR newer game, it is meant more for the collector interested in it's very unique nostalgic design and still-enjoyable Old School design and gameplay!
