Stern made just 100 Heavy Metals making it one of the rarest Stern titles...EVER!
This game is themed to commemorate the 300th issue of Heavy Metal magazine. An exclusive variant cover edition of issue 300 was included with every machine.
The music on this game features original recordings from Sebastian Bach and Brendon Small in addition to tracks from the Heavy Metal movie original soundtrack including Blue Oyster Cult and Cheap Trick.
I had two of these NIB. I listed one for sale in June 2022 @ $11,900. It had multiple full price offers within the first 10 minutes. This is an extremely rare title and it's unlikely there's many, if any, still New in the Box in existence. So, putting it out there for $1k more @ $12,900. (Still cheaper than a new Stern LE that is much less rare!)
