For sale is a first-generation Sega (later made by Stern) Harley Davidson pinball machine that has undergone significant mechanical restoration. The game is in excellent working order and should serve for many many years to come. This machine will perform in a home setting or as a revenue generator at a commercial location given it is strong mechanical condition. Significant restoration and upgrades include

New color LED display (PIN2DMD) these energy-efficient displays are much more reliable than the original orange plasma displays that wear out.

Rebuilt flippers, with new end stops, plungers, linkage, springs, coil sleeves, and upgraded silicone orange rubbers

Installed Cliffy metal hole protector. The hole is not in bad shape but I install them on all machines

Rebuilt drop targets with many new replacement targets, coil sleeves, and springs

Refurbished legs, with brand new leg levelers with felt bottoms to protect floors, new extra long chromed leg bolts, and new leg protecting plastic bolt spacers.

Rebuilt jets

Replaced several targets and switches including the expensive red modular stand-up targets in the front that take the biggest beating

NVRAM upgrade so the game no longer requires AAA batteries to remember scores and settings. This avoids the potential of a battery acid leak damaging the circuit boards.

Rebuilt shaker PCB, with new solder joints

Updated lighting, with new backbox fluorescent bulb, fluorescent start, and replaced incandescent bulbs and flashers as needed on the playfield with a few strategic LEDs. I think this game looks great in incandescent bulbs but if you want to go LED I can do that for you.

Set of brand new pinballs

Other typical repairs like replacing rubbers as needed, adjusting leaf switches, extensive play testing, and so on.



*Condition information*

Inside the backbox is really ideal condition, the boards are original, hack free and in great acid damage free condition, hardly could ask for better.

The playfield is in surprisingly good shape for a game that was likely on location at some point in its life. There is a factory-installed, game-specific mylar protector covering the vast majority of the playfield. I did not remove the mylar protector but it could be removed. The mylar has worn through in places between the right flipper and the hole shot. Their playfield itself is not bad where the mylar has worn out but there is maybe 1/16 of an inch chip where the wood is exposed. There is light wear damage on some of the roll-over switch tops, need to look to see it. The ball lock shot under the big motorcycle model has had a more meaningful chip out of it (common on this machine) from wear, the chip was filled with epoxy by a former owner, I painted it to match and installed a die-cut mylar cover over it to avoid further wear in the area. I installed die-cut mylar ball drop protectors on the outlanes.

The cabinet artwork is somewhat faded and there is wear near buttons that has been repainted to blend in now with the cabinet artwork. Typical scuffs from being moved and with age.

The ramp is in good shape as is the plastic considering age. One plastic near the shooter lane is broken but is hard to notice.

This machine will not disappoint. It's in great shape ready to live another 20 years of service.
