Collectors Edition (or maybe "Mirror Edition"?) Fish Tales.
Just restored! Be the first one to play a complete game on this "Mirror-Finish" Fish Tales!
It's hard to capture the true look of the cabinet with photos due to the mirror finish. In person, the game looks spectacular! And the playfield matches the cabinet - it's dazzling!
Here's a list of what was done during the restoration:
New Mirco Playfield!
New MIRRORED Rad Cals with recessed bolts (no bolts showing on the cabinet sides or head)
New coin door
New mirror blades (to match mirror cabinet)
New caster launcher and chrome launch button
New topper dome
New topper fish
New comet 2SMD lighting (white GI's)
New comet flashers (15 of them!)
New comet pop rings
New Titan (green) rubbers and flipper rubbers
New playfiled decals
New Playfield plastics
New playfield plasitc protectors
New polished side rails (mirror finish)
New Jumping bass, lure, and florescent fishing line
New playfield glass
New reel drive belt
New legs, leg bolts and leg levelers
New metal cabinet protectors
New playfield glass strip, H-channel trim and translight lift trim
New yellow star posts
New dome mylar and shell decals
New cabinet skids
New lockbar beer seal
New line cord cover
Also:
Flipper rebuild
Complete pop bumper rebuild (blue caps, bodies and skirts)
Mirror finish polished lockdown bar
All visible metal playfield ball gues, rails and parts were polished to a mirror finish, as well as all screws and bolts. Even the interior cabinet brackets were polished!
LED orange lit (clear) drop target
L6 Rom installed (removes the Fish Tales "Xtra Balle" typo, among other things)
Yellow / Green topper lighting to match the translight monster fish
Blue/white flashing topper lure lighting
NVRAM
Original circuit boards
Added comet matrix light strips (5)
New spot light to light the center of the playfield
Even the under-playfield wiring harness were removed and cleaned during the playfield swap!
The blue LED's look more pronounced in these photos than in parson, however the strip under the head really lights up the florescent fishing line and lure.
*note some photos were take before mirror blades were installed
All plays on the machine after the restoration were for testing purposes only. It's as "new" as any 90's pin can be!
Looking for a trade for a machine on my wishlist at this point (plus cash on my end). If nothing comes up, I'll sell it outright.
Note! This is an archived ad. No longer for sale!
These are EStroh's market stats.
The seller ended this ad and indicated the game eventually sold for $ 7,800
