I am selling this Stern Pirates game with a heavy heart. My parents were the second owners of this machine that has only been used privately in homes. I rescued it from being bundled in with the sale of their home. They didn't have space for it in their new home and I don't have space for it in mine. It's currently taking up most of my dining room.
This machine's legs and metal accents are a polished brass which gives it a striking mirrored look--a cool upgrade from the typical black. The glass is reportedly an upgraded glare resistant glass, but I do not know details about that. Additionally, it has a custom topper; a skull and crossed swords with glowing eyes.
The art in the back box is autographed by game designer Dennis Nordman.
The machine has been only lightly used and it plays well. The few issues it has will be resolved easily with basic maintenance:
1) The decal in the spinner should be replaced. It is wearing through. I've seen these available for about $30 online.
2) The rubber on the flippers needs to be replaced. It plays just fine, but I can see where they are wearing.
3) The ship has an issue where the sensor sometimes registers multiple hits at a time. In the past, I believe my father resolved this just by cleaning the sensor off.
4) One of the three KEY bulbs is burnt out.
