This is my 1981 Bally "Eight Ball Deluxe" that I am offering for sale. It is a fun, family machine with a modern Western theme that works 100%.
The playfield features a brand new Outside Edge Products Hardtop which is a sheet of semi-rigid polycarbonate with a decal of the original playfield design applied to the underneath. The top has an anti-abrasion coating that is thicker than a clear coat. The surface is crystal clear and shines like a star. It really is gorgeous.
There are many new parts on the playfield as well, including all 12 drop targets, new blue plastic posts and lane guides, pop bumper housings and skirts, flipper bats, all rubbers and the plastics are in excellent condition with new clear lower level plastics. All new color coordinated LED lamps have been installed in all new bayonet style #44 sockets for long life. The flippers and have been rebuilt with new EOS switches, the pops have been rebuilt and all four slingshot switches are new.
The backglass is in beautiful condition, an outstanding example of pinball art from artist Margaret Hudson. LED lamps have also been installed behind the backglass to show it off for maximum effect.
The five displays work 100%, all segments bright and steady with no burn spots.
The printed circuit boards are in excellent condition, all working as they should. The MPU has no alkaline damage whatsoever and has a new NVRAM to replace he battery. The Solenoid-Driver board has been rebuilt with new large caps, new fuse and holder and new header pins. The Sound board has been rebuilt with all new capacitors. The Lamp Driver boards have been outfitted with Siegecraft LED adapters for steady LED performance. The speech and sound effects are clear.
The cabinet and head are solid, with a few scratches on the right side of the cabinet (see pics). The coin door is rust and dent free and includes all three 25 cent coin mechs. The coin box is there as well as a manual with schematics.
This is not a collector condition piece but rather a player's machine that is in excellent condition. So if you are looking for a beautiful example of what is arguably the most sought after first generation solid state games of all time at an affordable price, here's your machine.
This machine is for pickup ONLY in Jarrettsville, MD, 21084. I will NOT ship. I want my buyer to play it before paying so that hey know and see what they are purchasing. Payment is in US currency ONLY. I welcome any questions, thanks for looking.
