Project Xenon for sale.
I've spent a lot of time overhauling this project but have since lost interest as other projects are taking priority and I want some space back.
Great bones that's almost there, just needs some love to take it across the finish line!
The flippers need to be reassembled and the tube put on and the playfield is complete.
The bad:
Backglass is blown out in the middle, I have some scans I was going to print out and see how they look
Tube is cracked, can be glued back together
The chasing board connector is fried, I have a connector and haven't putzed with it yet
A connector on the driver board is fried, I have a hack in place around it currently and a replacement connector that's yet to be installed
While it boots and starts a game, the 43V coil fuse keeps popping
The good:
Complete!
It had usual playfield wear, I printed out an overlay and a PETG protector so in theory should be good forever. I included a picture of what's underneath in case you think the overlay is dumb and want the original player's playfield.
I also airbrushed all the white to make the bulbs pop
I went over the boards and replaced a bunch of caps, rebuilt the HV section, rebuilt the power supply board, recapped the sound board, replaced fried transistors on the driver board, button battery on the MPU, reflowed solder everywhere (BigDaddy kits)
The game boots to attract mode!
Sound board tests OK
PBL flipper rebuild kit included
I shopped it out with new silicone rubbers
New bottom cabinet installed. Cabinet has bumps and bruises due to age, but overall is solid and sturdy
Completely rebuilt pop bumpers (bodies, skirts, rings, coil sleeves)
New ground braid
4/5 displays work (went through the test pattern)
Located in Chicago 10 minutes off I-90/94
Cash preferred, but would consider trading for a Galaga cabaret or any old weird EM games (not EM pinball)
