Condition: Fully shopped/refurbished
$ 1,995
For sale is a 1984 Williams Space Shuttle pinball machine. The asking price is $1995. It is in great condition and it has had extensive reburbishment work done on it. The playfield is very nice with some wear, but overall it is very good. The plastic is good with the exception of a small piece broken off of the left slingshot plastic (see the pictures). The backglass is nearly perfect with no cracking or peeling of the artwork.
The game plays as it should and has had extensive refurbishment and preventative maintenance work done, as follows:
* LED lights were added to the playfield general illumination, the backglass lighting and selected inserts under the playfield.
* New rubber was installed on the playfield.
* The playfield was cleaned and waxed. All plastics were cleaned and polished.
* Lexan washers were installed to protect the slingshot plastics.
* New capacitors were installed on all of the circuit boards (they dry out with age and lose their effectiveness).
* The high-voltage section of the power supply was rebuilt.
* A lithium button battery (2032) was added to the main processing board as a replacement for the troublesome AA battery pack (they leak!).
* The TIP42 transistors and the troublesome 27 ohm, 2 watt resistors were removed from the lamp matrix and replaced with modern MOSFETs. This greatly reduces the heat in the backbox and minimizes the possibility of damage to the MPU.
* Solder was reflowed on the header pins on all circuit boards (the solder can crack when it gets old resulting in poor connections which can cause random game resets and playfield malfunctions).
* Fuses were added to the backbox bridge rectifiers (this is an important correction of an oversight from the factory).
Contact me if you need more pictures or have questions. I am willing to ship the machine within the lower 48 states.
