WMS Test Fixture - WPC89 thru WPC-S games

Factory original WMS 'Test Fixture' built by and used in the Engineering department at Williams. Basically a self contained pinball machine built into a STTNG backbox and containing a full compliment of original WPC game boards as well as two purpose built Text Fixture boards for troubleshooting playfield lamps & switch circuits. (Test fixture boards stamped with Williams logo and part numbers). Operates like a regular pinball machine with the standard Williams/Bally power-up cycle and full systems tests... with readouts shown on the built in Dot Matrix Display. Compact troubleshooting resource for testing and repairing most WPC89 and WPC-S boards (not WPC95) and game EPROMS. With a populated playfield attached (such as mounted in a playfield Rotisserie) it can even be used to play test and troubleshoot Williams/Bally playfield related issues. The Switch and Lamp Test Fixture boards are laid out in standard 8 x 8 Column & Row Matrixes with the Switch Test Fixture board hosting four additional columns of switches. One for the 'Coin Door' interface (Coin switches and game test buttons --- Escape, Down, Up, Enter). One for the Flipper switches (flipper buttons and EOS switches ) and two for some future game switch expansion. Each of the 96 Test Fixture switches have three positions (On, Off and momentary On) that can be set for regular playfield switch 'momentary On' operation... or 'On with momentary Off' replicating the action of the many Opto switches used in WMS games. The switch matrix board currently holds small labels indicating switch locations from a Twilight Zone game, but a very cool 'switch labeled overlay' could be made to fit over the switch board for whatever game you're working on.
