Handyman special! My father has had a player's condition WCS in his possession for some time. Awhile back, it stopped working (there is a row short which causes f114 to blow upon starting up a game) and he has no desire to learn how to fix the game. Furthermore, I have no time to get out there and fix it so here's your chance to get a great game at a great price!! The last 10 on the marketplace were priced at $6500 (yeah, I know), $2750, $3000, $2800, $2800, $2950, $3100, $3000, $2895, and $2950; this game is being listed for quite a bit less than what he has in it.
Here's the details: as I said, my father is not a pinhead and doesn't really want to deal with anybody so the price is what the price is, and the details are what the details are. I am merely acting as the broker. The game is located near Peoria, IL. Buyer must pay in cash and must pickup the game in person. I am attaching several pictures of the game but don't have many details outside of what I am sharing here (feel free to PM and ask, but I have had minimal time with the game). Furthermore, this game is being sold as-is. I am posting the best pics I can and being as thorough as possible as I want potential buyers to know everything I know, but you are buying it knowing that it isn't currently playing.
Here's exactly what happens when a brand new fuse is put in the f114 spot:
-the game appears to boots up fine (albeit with a "set time/date" error due to no batteries)
-all solenoids test fine in test mode
-when a game is actually started, the 3A SB fuse blows, flipper solenoids go weak, and game starts kicking balls out of the trough. Game will start searching for balls then, while the audio and DMD keep going.
-when turned off and back on, the game gives a "Check fuses F114 and F115" message
The Good:
-nice playfield that will clean up quite well. No wear from I can see.
-nice cabinet with a little fade, but not bad. A few nicks and scrapes (particularly on the head), but nothing bad.
-translight is in good shape.
-the MPU board and CPU boards were both sent to John Wart who went through them and found nothing wrong (an early shotgun attempt to fix the game).
-DMD appears to work great with no dots out
-includes a brand new opto switch board underneath the playfield (another guess attempt to fix the game)
-no acid damage on the board
-Cliffys installed
The Bad:
-broken plastic sign over the left ramp
-could use a good shop job
PM me if interested. Again, game is in Peoria, IL (where he lives) and not Indianapolis (where I live).
